Belhaven
College is a four-year, coeducational Christian liberal arts college located
in Jackson, MS. A heritage of Reformed higher education, welcoming
students of all denominations and backgrounds. Established in 1883.
The mission of the College is to prepare men and women academically and
spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships,
and in the world of ideas.

nestled among majestic oaks and flowering azaleas. Five new buildings
added in the past seven years. New student center includes campus
bookstore, computer center, cafe, multi-media theatre, recreation center,
student dining commons, private dining rooms, and prayer room. Other
recreational facilities: tennis courts, gymnasium, weight and exercise
facility, and soccer field. Intramural athletics in a variety of
sports. Five residence halls with high-speed computer accessibility
for resident students. |
| Special Programs: |
WVC - Belhaven’s "Worldview Curriculum," required of all entering freshmen and sophomores, offers an integrated study (structured chronologically) of the great movements and ideas in history, literature, the fine arts, Bible, philosophy and theology. Using history and the study of civilizations as a foundation, this unique approach to the traditional core curriculum enables students to learn the necessity of a Christian worldview in their personal spiritual growth, the shaping of culture’s moral values, and in building prosperous communities and a healthy society.
Omega College - The Omega College allows students to customize their program to meet their individual curriculum needs. Students choose a major and then work with an advisor to add beneficial courses to their program of study.
Honors - The Honors College at Belhaven offers a unique opportunity to enhance your educational experience. The Honors College gives academically advanced, highly motivated students a forum in which to deepen and expand their college education, both intellectually and spiritually. |

Belhaven
College is accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA
30033-4097, Telephone Number 404-679-4500) to award associates,
bachelors, and masters degrees. The Department of Music is an accredited
institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The Department of Art is one of only six private, church-related colleges
accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The Department of
Dance is an accredited institutional member of the National Association
of Schools of Dance (NASD). The Department of Theatre is accredited
institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Theatre.
Belhaven College through its School of Business Administration has the
following degree programs accredited by the International Assembly for
